The COFAITH WORSHIP experience is lively, expressive and biblical. Here at COFAITH, we believe that rendering to God praise and worship is ordained by God. We also believe that man's chief end (purpose) is to give glory to God and enjoy Him forever.
WHAT IS WORSHIP?
To lay prostrate before royalty to show honor or to bow down and humbly beseech; to kiss; to crouch to...Psalms 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker [in reverent praise and supplication].
ABOUT OUR WORSHIP...
A life of worship and praise is so essential to every believer, and true worship towards the living God does well to draw each of us from being so self-absorbed.
Have you made God first? Are you pursuing the will of God and His exceeding greatness? For every believer, the exceeding greatness of God brings us to acknowledge and declare that He is worthy of all praise. This response is quite often spontaneous and unrehearsed. As a worshiper being spontaneous and unrehearsed will keep you from being stagnant or stuck in selfish and unthankful pride.
WHAT IS PRAISE?
To bless; to speak well of; to glorify; to express a favorable judgment of...Psalms 150:6 Amplified, Let everything that has breath and every breath of life praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)Praise can be described as being vocal, audible and visible. Vocal praise is done with the mouth. (Psalms 26:7 Psalms 66:1; Psalms 63:3; Psalms 145:21)
Audible praise is heard without the voice for instance the clapping of the hands and the use of instruments.
(Psalms 47:1; Psalms 150: 3-5)
Visible praise is seen without necessarily being heard with the mouth or with instruments. It involves dancing, lifting the hands and kneeling. (Psalms 63:4; Psalms 149:3; I Chronicles 15: 28-29)
Why We Do What We Do...
|
We Dance |
We dance to worship the LORD. We dance to praise the LORD for joy and victory. (Judges 11:34; 2 Samuel 6:14; Psalms 149:3, 150:4) |
|
We Leap |
We leap to praise the LORD. (Luke 6:23; Acts 3:8) |
|
We Lift Our Hands |
We lift our hands to bless the LORD. (Psalms 63:4, 119:48, 134:2; 1 Timothy 2:8) |
|
We Shout |
We shout before the LORD in joy and gladness. (Psalms 5:11, 35:27, 45:1, 5) |
PRAISE is ALWAYS FILLED WITH ACTION in Scripture |
